That is so right-on. I used to say something staid like, 'email is supposed to be a communication channel and not a de-facto recordkeeping system' but this cuts right to the chase. Seriously, who do we credit with this new axiom because I am going to be using it a lot from now on.
Hard as it will be for John to believe, this is my creation. I came up with it all of a sudden while talking to a lawyer about records management yesterday. Seemed appropriate, and it was a good laugh line!
